Paula Abdul on American Idol

Paula through her Twitter account tweeted this today: "With sadness in my heart, I've decided not to return to Idol. I'll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all being a part of a show that I helped from day 1 become an international phenomenon." She has been with AI for 7 years since the beginning of the popular show. She is an iconic bonafide grammy winning celebrity that brings so much to the table.

Michael Douglas's son Cameron arrested today!

It's not the first time Cameron has been busted for drugs; in 2007 he was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance after cops found a syringe with liquid cocaine in a vehicle that he was operating. I was informed that the 30-year-old actor was taken into custody by federal authorities earlier this afternoon; he is in custody at the moment.

Kim Jong-il, ruler of North Korea has pancreatic Cancer

North Korea's "dear leader", Kim Jong-il, has life-threatening cancer, South Korean media claimed today, and prompted long standing fears over the country's long-term stability.
The reports came days after images appeared of the 67-year-old looking emaciated & gaunt in a rare public appearance, increasing speculation that his health was is failing after a reported stroke last year. Seoul's YTN television channel reported that Kim had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, citing unidentified intelligence officials in South Korea and China as saying the illness was life threatening.
Maria Corazon Aquino passed away this early morning!

Aquino died of cardiopulmonary arrest after complications of colon cancer at the age of 76 on August 1, 2009, 3:18 a.m., at the Makati Medical Center. Aquino was diagnosed with the disease in March 2008 but kept up public appearances throughout this year. A devout Catholic, she was a regular at weekend mass until shortly before being admitted to hospital in late June.
